Two Different Operating Systems: A Couples Intensive
Every relationship runs on two different operating systems — two nervous systems, two sets of wiring, two ways of processing the world. When couples understand how their partner is wired, rather than just what they do, everything becomes easier to navigate.
This is a focused, in-person intensive for couples who want dedicated time and space to understand each other more deeply. It draws on neurodiversity-affirming approaches, but the framework applies just as well to any couple wanting to get underneath surface-level conflict and build a clearer, more compassionate understanding of how they each operate.
What to expect
A full day, one-to-one with your therapist — no groups, no distractions. We'll work through how each of you processes stress, communication, intimacy, and connection, and build a practical shared language for the patterns that usually trip you up.
Format
- One couple per day — full, undivided attention
- Held monthly, on a Thursday
- In person
Is this for us?
This intensive works well for couples where:
- One or both partners is autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD (diagnosed or self-identified) — or where you simply process things differently from each other
- You keep having the same argument and can't work out why
- You want deep, focused work rather than weekly sessions
- You're looking for a structured reset, not an open-ended process
